On Thursday 23 March 2006,
Aikido students of Gordon Head Elementary
were given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills
at the school assembly.

Nicole Oei, Ciara Johnston and Sharon Lam,
(three students from the first batch of students from 2004
when aikido classes began at Gordon Head Elementary)
giving an introduction to Aikido
to their schoolmates and teachers.

The students waited eagerly to begin.
Beginners to 9 kyu level students were involved.

Sensei Rafael first demonstrated the techniques,
and the students followed.

Dedicated students of Gordon Head School,
who spend one lunch hour a week practising a challenging martial way; Aikido.
