Happy Spring!
It was such a wonderful Winter once again. What a lovely start to 2016.
Please note that there are no classes scheduled for this week; this being the week running up to Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the long Easter weekend.
As you may know by now, the biennial trip to the World Aikido Headquarters has been cancelled. We look forward to the next opportunity to join my sensei on his visit which will next occur in 2018.
With the trip to Aikikai Hombu Dojo cancelled, the class schedule has been moved forward. So classes will continue through that Victoria Day week in May to end this year's Spring/Summer cycle on Saturday 11 June.
For the first time in 12 years, the year-end celebrations will be de-centralised. Demonstrations and celebrations will occur on each class day during the week of Tuesday June 7. In this way, we hope that students who normally aren't able to celebrate with us during the Annual Demonstration Potluck, usually held on a Saturday, will be able to join us this year. As always, gathering at the last class of the year is a wonderful way to end the academic year.
Congratulations to students who just completed their grade level test in February!
Still pending are the four yudansha grading tests, we wish them the very best!

Ni Dan (2nd Dan) : Mitchell Gaucher and Nicole Oei
- Sho Dan (1st Dan) : Dr. Adrian Russell and Sean Oei
Please also do ensure your enrolment is current, and be reminded to be prompt when re-enrolling into our cycle of classes, as the recreation centre is careful with liability and insurance. We appreciate your understanding in this. This does not affect year-long registrants. The class information and times are on Ueshiba Aikido website.

As always, thank you for informing me when you are unable to make it for class. Do also inform me when you would like to come for make-up classes so I'll be able to prepare a class suitable for students through diverse grade levels; especially in the beginner classes.
