Dear parents and students,

Happy Spring!
To all who celebrate it, Happy Easter!

I hope you had a lovely and restful Spring Break. We are now in the cycles that will take us to the end of the year in June. There will then be about a three week break when the recreation centre closes for maintenance before classes for the month of July begin. The Summer's annual Aikido Warriors' Camp is scheduled then, from 9 am to 3 pm on the week of Monday, July 21 to Friday, 25. Registration is already open, and there are currently only 6 spots left.

Aikido continues to be a very personal journey. I will always do my best to guide everyone through each movement, technique, and the art of Ukemi that includes the breakfalls and learning to follow through to recreate the conditions of the flow of the energy and nature of different encounters and attacks. There will be imagery and suggestions that will be shared, with the full knowledge that we all learn differently. Like the spirit and nature of "Aiki", be patient with the learning process and the progress between us, the teacher and the student. The importance of be sensitive, to be aware, to be conscious, and to listen contributes to the understanding of each applied technique. It also permeates into other areas and facets of life, too. When the practice is focussed, intentional, and sincere, it cannot help but be so.
