Happo Giri

The Happo Giri or 8 direction cut refers to the 8 points of the compass. Turn with your hips and waist, using the balls of your feet. With each turn, bring the bokken up in Jodan Uke Tachi, to protect your head. An excellent exercise for balance, focus, and using your hips to turn from your centre.
